China Grand Canal Museum is situated in the Gongchen Bridge area in the northern part of Hangzhou City, bordering on the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal in the west. With the total floor space of 10,700sq, the museum covers a total area of 42,910sq including the Canal Culture Plata. Laid out in the shape of a fan, it features the combination of a flat roof and a pitched roof and the traditional Chinese architectural signs on the elevation in terms of detail design. Its open-type structure offers a nice view of the Canal, the bridge, boats, and wharves as exhbits.
